This adoption fee will also go towards helping many of our rescued dogs who are in desperate need of orthopedic surgery, dental and teeth extractions, hernias, cherry eye removals and boarding fees. After their human Dad passed away, they were not cared for properly. They were forced to live outside, twenty-four hours a day, for a couple of years. Living outside took a toll on their overall condition, and it was apparent that their basic health care needs had been neglected. Bodie (8 years old) and Tyee (6 years old) are father and son. Both boys are AKC registered and Bodie is a retired show dog who once earned Grand Champion awards. They both have a very sweet temperament and must have been very close to their human Dad, because once they were inside a foster home, they were instantly drawn to the man in the home. However, they also bond with women, and it’s apparent that they will love anyone who will let them sit on their lap! They are both very sweet-natured and obedient. They love to sleep in bed with you, Bodie under the covers and Tyee on top of the covers! They also love to play together, as is apparent in the video. Tyee is feeling much better these days after having some major dental work and several infected teeth removed. It was discovered that Bodie has a heart murmur; he has been put on heart medication and will need future monitoring. Both dogs are neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. They have done fine around other small dogs. They do enjoy chasing a squirrel if they see one in the yard but seem uninterested in cats. They are approximately 18 months old, weigh 47 and 48 lbs. and are VERY bonded. They are playful and extremely nice dogs. They need someone who is willing to work on their manners but they are truly wonderful dogs. They can be crated for up to 6 hours. A fenced yard is required! They need a 3 week foster until they have their spay/neuter procedures and then they will be ready for adoption.
