Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Hi my name is Izzie. Aren’t I cute?❤️ I am a tiny little girl, just 12 pounds, who’s looking for love. I am 11 years old and have found myself in search of a new family, not what I expected at this age but I’m not letting that get me down. I am fully potty trained and crate trained. I have a lot of energy for a mature gal and I love to chase a ball. I am also up for cuddling with you on the couch and will be happy to snuggle in bed with you if you will let me. I still have a lot of love to give...will you let me love you? Izzie’s adoption fee is $50 but if you are a senior human who is willing to give Izzie a wonderful home there is no adoption fee. Duke Finger ...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Duke is an 8.5 year old purebred Boston and weighs 23 lbs. He's heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his shots. Duke came back to our rescue because his previous owners passed away. This big boy has bounced around a few homes and would love a forever family. Duke did have heartworms years ago, but no longer has them. His heart was damaged and was on medication for a few years. We got a couple of different vets to check him out, but they don't hear a murmur and we think his heart might have repaired itself. Duke also had a small mass removed and it was benign. This fun-loving dude loves to play tug, chew on his Kong and chase around a tennis ball. He gets possessive over a toy, but he's not aggressive. Duke will play with other dogs that are willing to play. He might play a little rough, but he will adjust to the other dog's playing style once they get to know each other. When he's not playing, he'll relax with you on the couch. And loves to snuggle under the covers. Duke also loves to go on walks and is a great walker. Duke would do well in a low-medium energy home with or without other dogs. A 10-20 minute daily walk is all he needs. That and lots of love, treats and a good window to people watch. Contact Zenia - Richmond, Va email: zeniafung@gmail.com Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., "under 6," as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog. The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids. Ask them. Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.

    Patsy

    rescue
    Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Pretty Little Patsy was at the Downy Shelter and had shelter staff baffled with exactly what was going on with her. She was having problems with her back legs and they weren’t sure if it was a spinal injury or neurological. Our Boston Buddies volunteer sprang into action and got Patsy to our vet. Upon examining her it was determined a specialist might be in order so Patsy headed south to see the neurologist at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego. After several tests including an MRI and a spinal tap it was determined that Patsy had Meningitis. We were not expecting that diagnosis! The specialist currently has her on several medications and she goes back for regular follow ups. Patsy has had two of a planned six monthly injections of Cytarabine Injections. While no improvement has been detected the doctor wants to give the injections for at least 3 months and if we still do not see any improvement after the next dose those will be stopped. If we start to see an improvement she will get a total of 6 monthly treatments. Boston Buddies will pay for all of the Cytarabine injections in the event Patsy is adopted prior to completion of the planned treatments. Patsy is also on cyclosporine and azathioprine. So far we have not seen any real improvement, but we have not seen a decline either. Her condition has remained stable. When we asked for a prognosis the doctor said that based on what she is seeing, Patsy will need long term medication management (she will likely need to remain on the azathioprine and cyclosporine for life (costs about $80/month) and bloodwork every six months to monitor organ function) which optimistically could give her 3 to 4 years. That is a lot of time for this girl to shower her family with love. Patsy has use of her back legs and gets around just fine, she just has a unique little walk. Patsy does pretty good about going outside to potty but sometimes she can’t get out there quick enough and might have a little accident on the way. She has been wearing diapers at night just so she doesn’t wake up to a soggy bed. Patsy is a sweetheart who loves being with people! Adorable as can be! This gal doesn’t seem to realize that anything is wrong and she believes she can do anything any other dog can do. Patsy would love to be someone’s petite princess. She is estimated at 7 years old and only weighs 15 pounds. She might be a little extra work, but Patsy is totally worth it! She will repay you over and over with her unconditional love and loyalty. Are you looking to make an honest to gosh difference in the life of a rescue dog? Here is your opportunity to adopt one super special Boston! Go out to our website and fill out an application @ www.bostonbuddies.org Adoption Fee: Patsy’s Adoption Fee has been Sponsored View more pictures of Patsy on our Facebook page - facebook.com/BostonBuddiesInc/posts/1803761286347025 NOTE! We are also looking for a new foster home for Patsy. Her foster home is pretty full right now. Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). My name is Apollo. I am about 5 years old and weigh 25 lbs. I need a new home because my owners had to move and could not take me with them. I am a very energetic boy and I love to run in the backyard. I spend the day sleeping so when you get home from work I am ready for a good walk. When I moved in with my foster mommy I had a few accidents but I am learning quickly and will soon be fully potty trained. I am a little skittish around other dogs but I do ok with them. My foster mommy has both a male and female dog here, and they play around me but I haven't quite figured out how to play. I think I would probably prefer to be my humans only best friend with no other dogs or a very submissive dog. I am very energetic so small kids under 6 might not be a good idea because I might knock them over trying to give so many kisses. Let's go for a car ride...I love to ride! and give me a cushion so I can see out because I love to see new things. P.S I am a super love bug too! Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Hi my name is Buzz... I am 11 years old and a total sweetheart. I am looking for a home to call my own and hope you are reading this and fall in love with me. I'm a small guy just about 15 lbs. I'm very calm and love to sit on the couch and snuggle under a blanket. I ride very well in the car and will alternate between checking out the scenery and sleeping on the seat. I am potty trained and crate trained, I get along just fine with other dogs my size. During my journey to BTRNT I spent a few nights in a foster home with cats...I liked to chase them and would prefer a home with no cats to bother me. I'm an older gentleman but the nice vet says I'm healthy. Are you looking for a dapper older man in your life? That's me! Buzz's adoption fee is just $50 but if you are a senior human looking for a senior companion there is no fee to adopt me. Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Adoption Fee: 250. Hi! I'm Sancho. I'm a sweet little guy, about 7 or 8 years old, and I am looking for a family to love me forever. I'm a little guy, just about 18 lbs. I like to ride in the car and I sleep in my crate...but would love to sleep with you if you'd let me! I'm really not a high energy guy but I will get really excited when you come home and my little nub tail will wag my whole body. I do like going for walks with my person or but I am also content just sitting on the couch watching tv. I don’t really like to play ball but I will chase you around the yard for a minute. Storms scare me a lot and I will need someone to make me feel safe when the wind and thunder comes. My perfect home would be a place without young children because they make me nervous and a home where I can be the only dog because I like to be the boss. I don't remember why but I'm also not a real fan of men so a home with just girls would make me happiest. I am up to date on all my immunizations and will be neutered soon. I should be ready to go home with you around the middle of March. Are you ready to love a a little man like me? Breed: Boston Terrier
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Terry is a red and white "splash" Boston terrier, born in 2016. She was born and raised in a commercial breeding kennel, but was not successful at producing and raising puppies so she was surrendered to rescue. She is an active girl and likes people, but she is not good with most other dogs so would do best as an only pet. The vet noted that she has a grade 2 heart murmur. This does not appear to bother her at all, but is something to consider before adopting her and should be monitored on a regular basis by a veterinarian. She has been heartworm tested (negative), spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and dosed with Revolution for flea and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00

Posted Breed: Boston Terrier (short coat). Grace is a chunky monkey full of love! She was found running loose on a road and animal control brought her to us so she'd be safe and warm. No one has claimed her so we are ready to help Grace find her furever home! Grace is as friendly as she is cute: her black markings on her soft white coat give her a unique look. She wiggles when she walks and greets everyone as a pal. Grace and our other adult dogs are available for an adoption fee of $75 which covers vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. Come see us today!
