Posted Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed. Annie is 40 lbs of loving dog. She has a thick soft coat and brown/blue eyes. In general, Annie is fine with other dogs, but she doesn't like it when they get up in her face or sniff around on her too much. Much more a people oriented dog, Annie loves walks and car rides, is very obedient and understands a lot of words. She hasn't been around small kids often or cats at all and would likely be happiest in an adult home or home with older kids.

    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult

Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Hi there. My name is Marley. Can I tell you my story? I am a female dog estimated to be 3-4 years old and a Aussie/Border Collie mix. At least that is what my owner told the rescue. See, my mom had to surrender me because she could no longer care for me as she got older. I know it's said, and I don't understand why I am here, but I'll just go with the flow. I am a big girl weighing approximately 60 pounds. I love everybody I meet. I love running and playing and I am learning how to properly walk on a leash. It's hard, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm hoping there is a family out there somewhere that would like a sweetheart like me. Is that with you? Marley resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to www.Gailspets.org and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address. **NOTE - The breed(s) and age listed for the dogs are estimates given by our vet unless we note that a dog is pure bred. If you live on the East Coast, we work with a wonderful transport company that takes extra special care of the precious cargo that they deliver to anxious new families. **Ozark Mutts and Stuff is listing this dog as a courtesy to another rescue. Ozark Mutts and Stuff makes no guarantee as to its disposition, personality, behavior or future health beyond the veterinary documentation provided from the rescue in which the dog is being adopted from. Ozark Mutts and Stuff is not responsible if it should become sick, or have undesirable behavior in the future.**

Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Thank You Carlson Family For Saving Me! "Sue Carlson epitomizes what it means to be a good pet owner. She has a heart of gold when it comes to animals in need and always finds the time to make sure her pets and her grand-pets are well taken care of! So when it came time to plan her 60th surprise birthday party around Halloween in 2017 (her actual birthday is October 31st), we, as her kids, knew we needed to incorporate animals into the mix. We decided to put a few raffle baskets together for the party and see if we could raise a little money to donate to Joyful Rescues. We ended up collecting 30 amazing raffle baskets and as a result, we raised enough money for a transport! We couldn't have been happier to do that in her name knowing we were able to give her the only present she would ever ask for - a second chance at life for animals who deserve it." ~ The Carlson Family The Cinnamon litter of "H" puppies were born about January 9, 2018 and will likely top out in the 50 lb. range, but truly you must understand we are just guessing. We are TRULY also guessing at breed since these pups were found at a favorite dumping spot behind the shed of an animal lover who happened to find them in time or they'd have frozen to death! This animal lover knows of us and it is perplexing why someone thought they had to dump them because if they'd have mentioned to the man that they had pups to get rid of we'd have been contacted with a lot less trauma to the pups. The "H" pups arrived extremely frightened of humans but are learning to trust us and now adore their main caretaker - Denise. Thankfully, a long time volunteer, Shirley Barnes, has had some time to come here and just sit with them, pet them, talk to them, and teach them love - she has made a huge difference in their trust - thank you Shirley! These adorable babies will be looking for homes where humans are willing to continue to teach them that the world is their oyster and there is nothing to fear. Perhaps no little, noisy, kids as they even scare some of us. A good trainer may want to be handy for their new humans to work through any fear issues and handle them in an appropriate way to decrease the fear. As for our breed guesses most have longer fur and several have short tails and they are mostly black and black and tan and that's all we have to go on. A DNA test might be fun in the future! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $425.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption. Can't Adopt Me? Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed. Raven & her sister Raina came from KY. The person who had them agreed that they had waaay too many dogs that they could not care for any longer. We're glad they decided to hand these girls over since they were fending for themselves living outside under a porch :( Raven is now about 6m in age. Raven is the obvious leader of the 2 girls. She has an independence/confidence about her. Her coloring is very unique since she has scattered brindle in her coat through her legs & on her face. Though her fur is not as long as her sisters, it still has some "depth" to it. Raven as not destroyed a thing in fostercare yet so we're hoping that she keeps up with that behavior. She has typical puppy energy and needs some basic manners with other dogs & people. Raven will need training from the ground up so if you have the time and patience to train a puppy, please visit our site for details on how to adopt and an application at endingthesadness.org. We have a 2hr max adoption radius for our animals.

    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). DOB: 4/2017 Weight: 33 lbs Skipper is a real character! He is very fond of belly rubs. His foster has only had him for a bit but says he walks beautifully on a leash and doesn't feel as if he would have problems with kids or other animals. He's very affectionate, loves attention. Biggest hurdle they need to conquer is potty training. This poor dog is stained yellow from being forced to lay in his own waste. Majority of his life confined to a crate. Seems to be very smart! He is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He came to the shelter 3/2018. Our adoption fee is $130.00 and it helps to cover a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.
