verifiedPosted Breed: Boston Terrier / French Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). We will be doing adoptions on Saturday, Nov. 4th and Sunday, Nov. 5th from 12-4pm at Palo Alto Pet Food Express. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-4pm on Sat. Nov. 18th & Sun. Nov. 19th or until adopted. If interested, please fill out an application if you would like the first opportunity to meet prior to the start of the event. (We will pre-approve one home to meet per dog.) Radar is a 5 year old Boston Terrier-Frenchie mix who we rescued from the shelter. He was surrendered there when someone in his family developed an allergy to him. You can tell right away that Radar knows and loves people. When we opened the shelter kennel, he reaches his little paws up and placed them on our legs and gazed into our eyes, saying "take me!" And so we did! Radar gets along great with kids and seems to take an instantly liking to them. However, we have also seen just the very beginning stages of resource guarding. He will need a home that recognizes and can address it immediately. His current foster home is doing so. His future forever home will need to be dog savvy and have an understanding of dog behavior and know how to address this so it doesn't become an issue. Radar knows how to walk well on a leash and is generally a well-behaved boy. He likes to go for walks and hang out with his people. Radar is good with other dogs. Radar gets along well with the cat in his foster home. Radar is only an option for a home that has had in a dog in the last 3 years. He is an option for children over the age of 8. **Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend) **If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
