    Max

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (medium coat). MAX Breed: Alaskan Malamute / Adoption fee is $150 / Sex: Male / Age: Approximately 6 yrs old / Weight: Approximately 71.6 pounds Max is our big handsome love bug and is very affectionate and sweet to all the volunteers. He will be a very loyal and loving companion and will lay in your lap and let you rub his belly for hours. Max was living with a female malamute when he first came to the rescue and got along well with her. However, he has shown guarding behaviors during meal times. He has not been in group housing with other dogs so we are unsure if he gets along with both males and females. He may do best in a home with a similar size female. Soft and cuddly, he would rather curl up beside you on the couch instead of doing something active. He doesn't like to be alone and will whine when he's by himself. Max enjoys going on walks and getting to play in the Pet Angels park. Max has been living in a large indoor/outdoor kennel with trips to the park for exercise. He has not attempted to jump our fence in the park however we require a secure yard and fence for our northern breeds. Max has not been cat tested but malamutes tend to have a prey drive. Overall, Max has been a well-behaved boy who wants nothing more than to snuggle with people and be loved on. NORTHERN BREEDS: All of our Husky/Northern breeds require a home visit to check for appropriate fencing and, if needed, to offer tips on containment. You can quicken your adoption process by sending us some yard pics, focusing on the fence lines, when you submit your application. Please keep in mind if you want to own a husky or malamute you will need to be open to the fact that containing this dog may require you to install a hot wire system (cost is approx $100) this is quite often needed to prevent digging, climbing or chewing through fences. A hot wire is typically the best route to start with for proper containment and peace of mind. Some of our dogs will require this fencing method, prior to adoption, knowing they have a history of escaping and will either jump or climb over your current fencing. For most yards installation of a hot wire is simple and can be done in under 2 hours. Northern Breeds are beautiful dogs but can have challenging personalities. They can be demanding and very destructive by chewing or digging and if not exercised they may be hard to contain when their needs are not met. Please learn a little more about the breed on our website Home Page. Pet Angels has a number of northern breeds available for adoption and you can see them all by visiting www.petangelsrescue.org. Max has had his age appropriate vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration that also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance Important: Please do not use the "Adopt/Contact Me" buttons generated by the Adoptable pet websites, read details below: You can submit an Adoption Application by clicking our logo button below (if visible) or by visiting www.petangelsrescue.org to start the adoption process. Please review our website for information on questions you may have in regards to adoption. All of our pets at Pet Angels Rescue are featured on our site and can be accessed from our HOME PAGE. If you are unable to find the information you need, after visiting the FAQ's and "How to Adopt" sections of our website, please submit an email using the contact email address provided on our website.

    Fricka

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute. Fricka is an adult (6-7 years old )Alaskan Malamute female who loves attention, scratches and will do anything you ask of her for a treat! Fricka gets along with male dogs and would love nothing more than to have a family to call her own. Due to an eye infection prior to coming to RezQ Dogs, Fricka has limited eyesight and can really just see shadows. As a result, Fricka's ideal home would be quiet and children free. If you are interested in adding this stunning, laid back girl to your family, please contact us at adoptions.rezqdogs@gmail.comRezQ Dogs Adoption Policies:1. All of the dogs (and cats) adopted from RezQ Dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, and microchipped prior to adoption. Many of the dogs also received additional veterinary care if needed.2. RezQ Dogs houses its dogs in private foster homes and at our facility which is open by appointment only. We do require an approved application on file prior to scheduling a meet and greet with the dog. At that point, the adopters can take the dog home.3. Adoption fees are as follows:- $125 for dogs over 1 year of age- $150 for dogs under 1 year of age- $75 for cats4. While RezQ Dogs does allow out of state adoptions, we do limit the distance between the potential adopters and our location in Dodson, MT, to within a 12 hour drive.5. Due to our limited staff and volunteers, RezQ Dogs is unable to transport dogs to their forever homes or meet adopters part way. RezQ Dogs does not ship dogs via airlines or ground transportation. We ask the adopters to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption rather than having someone pick up the dog for them in order to ensure the right fit for both humans and dogs.6. Please download our adoption application here: www.rezqdogs.org/adopt , fill it out, and email it to adoptions.rezqdogs@gmail.com Make sure your application is complete and all of the phone numbers are provided as INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered. You will not be contacted if any information on the application is missing. We simply lack the manpower and time to track down the information we ask for in the first place.7. RezQ Dogs makes every effort to reply to adoption inquiries and process applications within 1 week of receiving them. July 1, 2017, 8:18 pm

    Mally

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (long coat). Mally is about 8 years old, and was surrendered after an incident involving a very small dog. For this reason, she cannot be adopted to anyone having a small dog (under 30 pounds), cat, or other small pet that she could get to. Malamutes and Huskies have a very high prey drive and if something runs from them, they want to chase and catch it. Mally is a very nice dog, she loves people and medium-large dogs. Walks great on a leash, is housebroken, loves to go for rides in the car. Great manners and affectionate, she just needs a responsible owner to keep her safe. All of our dogs are available for a $150 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated. To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. "Invisible" fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you. Please contact us at: dogtownmutts@gmail.com for details. Please note: we typically do not do "out of the area" adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.
